CPD started business in 1981 as a product design company, providing engineering development to the military, telecomm, and biomed technology companies. CPD was incorporated in 2001 as a California Corporation. We take pride in having been a successful business for over 25 years. Our background in helping to develop military video equipment for the MX Missile Program and years of work in the security video field served as the motivation to start ChaseCam. The recorder itself, named PDR100, is a tuff lightweight unit. It records on to a compact flash card in MPEG2 form. These files are easily transferred to a computer by use of a card reader. Once there, they may be viewed in Windows Media Player. Simple files, an easy way to share the footage with others, including your fire investigators or insurance team.
